Bernese School Of Theatre, Dance & Drama was first established in 1998 . In March 2018, we embarked on a significant refurbishment project, relocating to new premises in Blackburn Town Centre. Our school features two dance studios equipped with Le Mark wood and vinyl sprung flooring, full-length mirrors, a comfortable waiting area, dedicated girls' and boys' changing rooms, reception services, and convenient parking amenities. The School & Our Success
Examinations
Our examination results continue to have a 100% success rate, with approximately 95% of pupils achieving distinctions in the ISTD dance and LAMDA drama/MT board. We strive for these results and work hard to maintain them constantly.
Professional Training
We have furthered pupils onto professional training at the following vocational colleges: Laine Theatre Arts, Bird College, Performers College, Hammond School, Creative Academy, Guildford School Of Acting, Preston College, Rambert School, E15 School Of Acting, Shockout Arts and more. We continue to prepare our next set of pupils for their auditions into these prestigious vocational colleges. Graduating from these colleges has resulted in many professional contracts for our ex-pupils, such as the Mama Mia 2 film, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Disney, Adidas, X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, and Coronation Street.

Bernese Community
The fun doesn't end after classes. We have regular movie nights and fun days hosted in our studios. We also organise fun school trips, with annual trips to Move It London, the theatre and more. We are very lucky to welcome industry professionals to host masterclasses for our students too. Each year, we host an end of year awards disco to celebrate with students and their families, along with our annual shows held at Blackburn Empire Theatre.

We prioritise uniformity, presentation, and grooming. Our set uniform not only fosters a sense of belonging and recognition but also instils preparedness and organisation skills in our students. Wearing the correct uniform and maintaining appropriate hairstyles ensures readiness and focus in class.
